Peter Youll grew up in a little village in North Yorkshire. “It wasn’t exactly what you’d call…ethnically diverse,” he says. But from roots a thousand miles from reggae, Peter found dub. And then he founded Lion Paw.

In the first of our exclusive podcast series, Lion Paw Soundsystem retraces his steps from Leeds drum’n’bass head to devoted dub selecta and self-proclaimed Rastaman, picking out some of his favourite tunes along the way.
Tracklisting:
1. The Congos, ‘Fisherman’
2. Lloyd Parks, ‘Mafia’
3. The Blood Sisters, ‘Ring My Bell’
4. Black Uhuru, ‘Leaving to Zion’
